The Garden of Self-Reflected Memory was an installation presented during the Ras Al Khaimah Art Festival 2025, featuring a mirrored, life-sized house that reflected visitors and their surroundings. These reflections mixed the present with the memory of the old house on which the structure stood, creating a bridge between past and present. Inside, LED lights acted like brain neurons, carrying these “memories” as electric signals, connecting history to the future.
Just like memory itself, the house was fluid and ever-changing. It captured fleeting moments—images of visitors, light, and movement—turning them into part of the artwork. Visitors were not just observers but active participants, as their presence became part of the house’s story. The installation mirrored how memory worked: blending experiences, senses, and emotions over time. By stepping into that space, the audience experienced a timeless place where reflections of the past and present met the future, and where new memories were created.
