I was born in Israel in 1970. Growing up in Nahariya, a city constantly under threat, led me, as a young artist, to address issues related to routine danger, human tragedies, and violence.
As a mature artist, after many years of dealing with the Israeli public space, terrorism, and grief, I turned to explore myself through my body from a feminine and personal perspective. In my creative work, I place my naked body and face in changing spaces. The body speaks for itself inside and out, present and confident in itself as nature created it.
I often incorporate autobiographical details in my works that address the transition from childhood to womanhood during menopausal puberty. The works are created using mixed techniques such as acrylic oil, pastel chalks, and gouache on canvas.
I am the winner of the Alima Rita Prize for Printmaking (2020), and my works are included in museum and private collections, including the Israel Museum Collection, the Haim Atar Art Center in Ein Harod, the Gil Brandes Collection, Amos Schocken, Yigal Ahouvi, Julie M. Gallery, and other private collections. My works have also been featured in both international and Israeli press. I hold a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree from the University of Haifa.
